Neil Barman, Chief Growth Officer, Yellow.ai, a leading conversational AI platform, has been named to the ‘BW Retail World 40 under 40’ list by BW Businessworld. 

Barman has been recognised for his exemplary leadership and contribution to the retail industry, as well as his endeavours in facilitating innovative retail technology.

As part of the founding team of yellow.ai, Barman has played a key role in establishing its brand presence in 32 countries, with more than 1300 customers in just four years. He has also been instrumental in apprising multiple emerging start-ups across India, the US, and Malaysia, coaching them on their entrepreneurial journeys.

In addition to his role at yellow.ai, Barman has been recognised as an ambassador of SaaS in the Asia Pacific region. He has also been a consultant to multiple startups and universities, mentoring them on business strategy and growth.

During the pandemic, Barman led the charge in creating a platform to bring retailers on channels like WhatsApp and Instagram to drive seamless engagement, commerce, and support through conversational AI. More than 300 brands, including Manyavar, ITC Foods, P&G, and BIBA, took on the technology during the pandemic, with 60 per cent automation adoption attained within 30 days for retailers across segments.

Through digital transformation using conversational AI, Barman has helped drive more than 30x ROI for brands, making a significant impact on the retail industry.
