Welspun India has announced its Corporate Sustainability Assessment (CSA) scores for 2022, receiving an overall score of 59. This is a significant improvement of 23 per cent over last year’s score of 48, placing WIL among the top 5 percentile of textile companies globally.
The scores in the environmental, social, and governance dimensions are also in the 93rd, 95th, and 96th percentile, respectively. The company has adapted global ESG trends and practices across its manufacturing facilities, and the recent DJSI score is a reflection of its robust ESG frameworks and implementation of policies at the operational level.
Welspun India aims to become a carbon and water-neutral company by 2030 and has a clear roadmap to be future-ready with capabilities to create shared value in the communities where it operates.
