Sumant Kakaria, Founder & CEO of, Solthreads has been named under the list of ‘BW Retail World 40 under 40’ by BW Businessworld as a top retailer among others.

Kakaria has an extremely rich experience encompassing both offline and online ecosystems, and a very successful career graph with mammoth consumer brands. 

He had received several awards and recognition for his achievements, including awards such as Best Alumni Entrepreneur of the Year, Most Promising Consumer Startup, Businessworld Most Innovative Recycling Campaign, and being named in the top 100 D2C Brands.

Kakaria has mentored many startups and established organisations, including Paper Boat, Atomberg, Pursense, Emami, Mars, and Himalaya, and has expertise in large PnL management, digital performance marketing, and offline PnL optimisation. 

He has also set up and scaled up the digital businesses of Philips Consumer India and Marico, with profitable multifold revenue scale-up.

Solethreads is a successful footwear brand in India that has traversed omnichannel retail successfully.
