Simpl To Onboard Over 10,000 D2C Merchants In Delhi-NCR Over Next 3-4 Yrs

Simpl Launches Checkout Suite to Eliminate Cash on Delivery in Ecommerce by 2028

Simpl, a merchant-first checkout network, on Thursday, announced its plan to onboard over 10,000 enterprises and direct-to-consumer (D2C) merchants from Delhi-NCR on its full-stack network over the next 3-4 years.

According to the company, this move aims to bolster the city’s rapidly growing start-up ecosystem and cater to the evolving demands of customers across the country.

Commenting on the development, Nitya Sharma, Founder & CEO, Simpl, said, “With an unwavering commitment to empower thousands of D2C brands, we are dedicated to creating a robust ecosystem for their growth and expansion. Leveraging our state-of-the-art Checkout Network and pioneering 1-tap payment solution, our aim is to enhance conversions and minimise cash-on-delivery for D2C merchants, delivering a seamless experience to millions of valued customers. We’ve recognised the immense potential of Delhi’s vibrant D2C ecosystem, and we are deeply invested in supporting its growth and fulfilling customers’ evolving requirements”.

“In line with this vision, we aim to onboard over 10,000 D2C merchants from the state onto our Checkout Network over the next 2-3 years. By offering cutting-edge technological solutions, we aim to empower small businesses to thrive and succeed, and shape the future of e-commerce in Delhi and beyond,” he added on the sidelines during the highly anticipated D2C Unlocked event titled “namaste Dilli”, held at The Quorum Club, Gurugram on 29 June, 2023.

Presently, over 26,000 merchants and 10 million plus customers across the country rely on Simpl’s checkout network to experience a seamless and hassle-free checkout experience.

To further support the ecosystem, Simpl has been actively fostering community-building efforts through initiatives like D2C Unlocked, which serves as a platform for knowledge sharing among small and large D2C brands and merchants from various sectors, the press note said.

The recent D2C Unlocked event in Delhi, powered by GreenHonchos and themed “Unlocking Delhi’s D2C Potential,” featured a fireside chat and a panel discussion with speakers from the D2C industry including Siddhant Keswani, founder of Libas, Sidharth, Principal Partner at Matrix Partners, Sukhleen Aneja, CEO of Good Glamm Brands, Nitya Sharma, Co-founder & CEO of Simpl, and Navin Joshua, Founder of GreenHonchos. With an expected footfall of over 100 attendees, including representatives from 80-90 D2C brands, D2C Unlocked in Delhi also offered networking opportunities, allowing participants to connect and share their experiences.

During the event, D2C founders were also introduced to Simpl’s Booster Package, which provides a comprehensive range of services to community partners, including access to credit, marketing assistance, legal services, and more. These initiatives aim to establish a trusted ecosystem of D2C merchants committed to delivering high-quality products and a seamless payment experience to their customers.

The D2C sector in India has witnessed remarkable growth in recent years, with consumers increasingly turning to online shopping platforms and the pervasive influence of social media. According to a report by Mordo Intelligence, the D2C industry is projected to grow at a CAGR of 34.5 per cent between 2022 and 2027.
