Sahil Malik, Managing Director, Da Milano has been named in the coveted ‘BW Retail World 40 under 40’ list by BW Businessworld. 

In India and beyond, Malik has left an indelible mark on the retail industry and for that he has garnered recognition. Additionally, he holds the esteemed position of Co-Chair for FICCI Lifestyle, Luxury, Gems & Jewellery, and is a vital participant in NITI Aayog’s Champions for Change movement.

In 1989, Sahil Malik’s father came up with the concept for the Da Milano brand, which has since evolved into a highly successful venture. Although it began as a single store in Delhi, it has grown to encompass 80 stores across India, all under Malik’s leadership.

After graduating from NIFT with a degree in fashion design, Malik joined the family business in 2000. He recognised the shift towards organised retailing taking place in India at that time and saw an opportunity to establish a chain of stores specialising in leather accessories.

Malik, in addition to his career accomplishments, has a connection with Tamana, a not-for-profit advancing education for those with unique needs, helping them attain both social and financial self-sufficiency.

In 2010, he established the shoe label Rosso Brunello and currently, this brand is a prominent player in the footwear industry in India and the UAE.
