Reliance Jio is reportedly in talks to launch two Jio 5G smartphones in India.
Reports suggest the telecom major is likely to make its phone announcement at an event hosted by Reliance Industries on 28 August 2023.
The two rumoured smartphones have been spotted on India’s BIS certification website, the report said. Additionally, it claimed the phone model numbers to be JBV161W1 and JBV162W1.
It added that the smartphones are being manufactured in Noida.
An X (formerly Twitter) user also posted the leaked images of the Jio 5G phone and mentioned its price to be under Rs 10,000 in India
The user’s post read, “The phone is expected to release between Diwali and New Year. The expected price is under ₹10k. Not much specs known but possibly a Unisoc 5G or a Dimensity 700 processor. 13+2MP Rear 5MP Front camera.”
