Archana Purohit, CEO of eYantra, was recognised in BW Businessworld’s prestigious list of ‘BW Retail World 40 under 40’.
She has had a remarkable career in the retail industry, from winning film awards to leading a profitable digital marketing agency and now, as the group CEO of eYantra Media & Merchandising business.
In 2007, she bagged the university film documentary award from Mumbai University for her film on Vidharbha Farmers’ suicide and later became the youngest Assistant Editor to work with a Franchise Indian Media.
After working as a consultant for a while, she started her own bootstrapped business in 2018, which broke even in just three months. The company managed to achieve 120 per cent profitability in 2020.
In 2021, Archana’s company was acquired by eYantra Group. She now leads as the group CEO for eYantra Media and Merchandising business.
Under her leadership, the company has successfully onboarded several high-profile clients like LIC, TSRTC, T-Hub, Byjus, Adobe, and JP Morgan in less than a year.
Her work also includes digitizing merchandising brand stores as well as creating personalized DIY joining kits for startups and organisations.
They have already achieved a 2.1x increase in turnover in just 18 months, and have registered profitability in DIY joining kits within the first three months.
eYantra group has curated the coveted Merchandising and Gifting report for 2021 and 2022. The company is also currently setting up SOPs & digitising invoicing, stock keeping, and vendor registration processes to enhance the corporate gifting retail process.
In addition, she is implementing lead gen and CRM tools in a traditional business setup to automate marketing and sales and has been strategically hiring to increase her team strength from 15 to 45 in one year.
The company has also successfully relaunched the Adobe brand store in Noida and Bengaluru, and implemented digital marketing and lead generation for the first time. This has led to the creation of a value chain of 40 per cent validity and 15 per cent conversion with advance payments not heard in the merchandising industry, which has helped improve cash flow and liquidity.
Looking towards the future, her company will soon be starting a brand store with PhonePe, Advance Auto Parts, and Synchrony.
