Sorav Arora, the B&M, E-Com, and LFS Head for Pepe Jeans India, has been recognised in BW Businessworld’s ‘BW Retail World 40 under 40’ list of prominent retail professionals.
Arora’s leadership has been instrumental in transforming and elevating the retail landscape across EBO/E-Com.
Under his leadership, Pepe Jeans India has launched its own Omni Channel Business in the Indian market and achieved nearly 750+ Annual Consumer Sales Business Size.
Arora is also known as a turnaround specialist, having successfully revived the EBO & LFS business at Benetton India. He achieved significant growth in LFS sales, increasing from Rs 20 crore to Rs 120 crore, and EBO sales, increasing from Rs 86 crore to Rs 107 crore over a 24-month span.
At Pepe Jeans India, he launched a single unified POS across 200+ EBOs and rolled out a new WMS/OMS for single-touch integration with store POS, enhancing customer engagement through a single OMNI dashboard for orders/returns/cancellations.
He has also launched new business verticals for Pepe Jeans, including Omni and D2C websites. This innovative approach to retail has resulted in enhanced margins, with 12 per cent savings in comparable costs under the outsourced ops model at Pepe Jeans.
The company has also experienced additional top-line growth, with Rs 75 crore in revenue generated in the first 12 months from the new business. The projected CAGR is pegged at 50 per cent for the next 5 years.
Arora has also implemented an effective digital marketing strategy, engaging consumer cohorts that are more dominant online with PLA and PCA for maximum impressions and sessions.
Arora has also contributed significantly to Blackberry’s clothing as a B2C & B2BC Sales/Retail Head, launching a D2C website and contributing 70 per cent of the group turnover.
