Patanjali Gets Legally Slam Over Alleged Use Of ‘Fish’ In Green Product

Indian multinational conglomerate, Patanjali Ayurved and its arm Patanjali Food & Herbal Park received a legal notice recently, pertaining to the usage of non – vegetarian ingredients in its personal care product, ‘Divya Dant Manjan’, a tooth powder claimed as green or vegetarian by the company.

The matter was brought into the spotlight by advocate Shasha Jain, who issued the notice on behalf of herself and all the consumers of Patanjali products, especially Divya Dant Manjan. The advocate shared the concern over Twitter underlining users’ attention.

The notice issued on 11 May read, ‘Samudra Phen’, a cuttlefish used in dental care products is hurting the religious sentiments of the consumers who are buying the product having faith in Swami Ramdev, Founder of Patanjali Ayurved.

It added a fifteen days period for clarification beyond that legal proceedings would be initiated against the company before the authorities and the court of law.

Meanwhile, consumers are thankful to the Advocate, Patanjali has not reverted to the raised issue.
