India’s retail discovery and discount platform, magicpin, has recently registered with ONDC (Open Network for Digital Commerce), making over 22,000 restaurants available on the network, including 7,000 in Delhi NCR and 6,500 in Bangalore.
In the next three months, the platform aims to add another 5,000 restaurants to the network. By joining ONDC, all sellers registered with magicpin will be visible to customers across various buyer applications on the network, making it the biggest restaurant aggregator to join the ONDC.
This integration will help small and medium local retailers in the food and beverage category to expand their customer base and business opportunities. Additionally, magicpin will manage all backend logistics related to ordering and delivery. The platform offers end-to-end fulfilment services, from ordering and POS systems to last-mile delivery, across multiple categories, including food, pharmacy, grocery, and fashion.
Koshy, MD & CEO, ONDC, said, “It was the speed of onboarding and magicpin’s strength in backend logistics in food ordering and delivery that impressed us the most. Within a few weeks of onboarding, nearly 20,000 plus restaurants were added and still counting. We believe that magicpin will play a key role in strengthening the scale of the network in the F&B category, bringing a wide range of new restaurants on the network for the customers to choose from. As we move forward, we are confident that this collaboration will enhance the buying experience for our customers and provide greater opportunities for the new sellers on boarded on the network.
Anshoo Sharma, CEO & Co-Founder, said, “Offline retail and especially at the local level is the life-blood of India and magicpin is committed to bringing this ecosystem online. We believe working jointly with ONDC under Mr. T Koshy and his team besides network partners will fast track this journey. Just like ONDC for us too it’s a Nation building and connecting exercise for the physical retail eco-system of this country and with our backend strength and reach we believe that we can bring 360-degree prosperity to all stakeholders, including consumers, offline retailers and online platforms across the spectrum.”
