With Apple’s popularity and its prospering consumers, sales of the iPhone 15 have been estimated to grow by 100 per cent in comparison to that of the iPhone 14 series on the first day, according to a media report on Saturday.
The high demand is attributed to the ‘made-in-India’ tag for iPhone 15 and iPhone 15 Plus models, the report underlined.
It’s the first time Apple has made available the purchase of the iPhone on the same day of its launch and has started selling the devices in the country and other parts of the globe.
The record-breaking sale was registered on the first day itself by 6 p.m. IST the report added underscoring the long queues outside the Apple centre.
Apple has not officially confirmed the sales number.
The iPhone 15 series marks several firsts for Apple in India. This is the first time customers can buy iPhones from Apple Stores in Delhi and Mumbai. Also, the device is available on the instant ecommerce platform, Blinkit.
