The Centre has directed enterprises to include all necessary notifications, including MRP, on the outer pack of commodities that comprise more than one pack, including gift and multi-piece packs.
According to the Consumer Affairs Ministry, it will be needed for all retail commodity packaging having more than one pack, including gift and multi-piece packs.
According to the Consumer Affairs Ministry’s recent rule, the necessary information is not stated on a retail package including more than one retail package.
It further said that all essential disclosures must be made on all retail packages contained inside a group/combination/multi-piece/gift package.
The mandatory details include the manufacturer’s, packer’s, and importers’ names and addresses, as well as the country of origin for imported products, net quantity, month and year of manufacture/pack/import, best before use date, and consumer care information, which must be printed outside the pack.
It should also specify the unit selling price, which will go into effect on February 1st of this year.
