Dunzo4Business To Expand Operations To 10-15 Cities In Next 12-18 Months

Dunzo Seeks Additional Funding From Reliance Retail Amid Fundraising Challenges

Reliance Retail-backed Dunzo’s logistics arm, Dunzo4Business (D4B), has announced plans to expand its operations to 10-15 cities within the next 12-18 months. Dalvir Suri, co-founder of Dunzo and head of D4B, stated that the company is collaborating with the Open Network for Digital Commerce (ONDC), a government-supported initiative, to facilitate intracity last-mile delivery of products.

Currently, D4B is present in approximately 10 cities and has been serving 60-70% of the total orders received on the ONDC platform for last-mile delivery, in addition to fulfilling orders from Dunzo and other merchants for grocery delivery. The major cities where ONDC users place most of their orders are Bangalore, Delhi, Hyderabad, and Chennai.

D4B has achieved positive unit economics in terms of revenue and intends to focus on scaling up its business in the coming 12-18 months. The company presently collaborates with over 70,000 delivery partners across the 10 cities it operates in.

Suri mentioned that the top categories of orders placed by customers are groceries, food, and pharmaceuticals, with an average order value ranging from Rs 200 to Rs 4,000. D4B aims to provide delivery services for all products that can be transported on two-wheelers.
