India’s trade body, the Confederation of All India Traders (CAIT) on Sunday said that it is expecting revenue of Rs 600 crore with the sale of about 35 crore tricolour flags across the country under the central government’s Har Ghar Tiranga campaign.
The trade body in a statement said that last year it was around Rs 500 crore. The CAIT which represents over 40,000 associations and about eight crore traders has urged them to put a national flag on their shops and homes from 13 to 15 August.
BC Bhartia, National President and Praveen Khandelwal, Secretary General, CAIT in a joint statement said, “From today to 15th August, the trade associations are organising more than 4000 events including taking out Tiranga Rally, Tiranga Run, Tiranga Gaurav Yatra and Swarajya March across the country.”
The trade leaders informed that in 2021, the annual sale of Indian tricolour was restricted to near about Rs 150-200 crore. Undoubtedly, the HGT campaign has boosted patriotism in the Country to the next level, the added.
