Bharti Airtel reported a 50 per cent increase in a consolidated net profit at Rs 3,006 crore from Rs 2,008 crore a year back for the quarter that ended in March 2023.
The company’s exchange filing said that operation revenues stood at Rs 36,009 crore, a 14 per cent increase from Rs 31,500 crore reported a year ago.
It added that the consolidated EBITDA growth by 18 per cent on-year and 1 percent on-quarter at Rs 18,807 crore. Subsequently, EBITDA margin for the quarter was marked at 52.2 per cent, as against 50.8 per cent in the corresponding quarter last year and 52.0 per cent in the previous quarter.
The mobile average revenue per user (ARPU) jumped to Rs 193 against Rs 178 in Q4 financial year 2022. The telecom operator gained 23.3 million new 4G customers on a yearly basis, adding 7.4 million customers sequentially.
Commenting on the profit, Gopal Vittal, MD of Bharti Airtel said, the profits are the results of their simple strategy and relentlessly focused execution that ensured the closed year stood with market share gains across all businesses.
