B2B E-commerce Platform Udaan Ships 1.7 Bn Items In Fiscal Year 2022

Udaan, a B2B e-commerce platform, said that it shipped over 1.7 billion items and fulfilled over 22 million orders in fiscal year 2022 in a press release on Wednesday.

The orders were sent to 1200 towns and cities across the country, including 12,500 zip codes.

Udaan stated that it transported over 9 lac tonnes of vital items, including 7.5 lakh tonnes of commodities like sugar, oil, rice, lentils, and flours.

Karnataka, Uttar Pradesh, Maharashtra, Delhi, and Telangana had the largest demand for staples.

Udaan claimed to have shipped 131 million goods in the discretionary products category, including over 71 million in the electronics sector and over 30 million in each of the general merchandise and lifestyle categories.

“We are witnessing solid growth across our businesses – Food, FMCG, Electronics, Lifestyle, General Merchandise, Pharma – and will continue to focus on strengthening our customer value proposition to ensure high buyer repeat rates,” said Vaibhav Gupta, co-founder and CEO of the company. 

Udaan will continue to deepen its relationships with diverse companies, he said.

Udaan also said that 586 registered retailers on the site sold items worth Rs 1 crore during the fiscal year 2022.

Furthermore, 174 vendors in the electronics industry reached sales of more than Rs 2 crore during this period, according to the company’s announcement.
